VINEYARD NOTES

The biggest Mouvedre based wine Rotie Cellars has ever made comes from the picturesque, Wallula Vineyard, terraced on gigantic columnar basalt lava flows high above the Columbia River. This 1.44 acre section looks like it's own island because it juts out from the surrounding 900' cliffs on either side. Basically, heat, Basalt cliffs, and the mighty Columbia River make up Homage.

TASTING NOTES

As these three descriptors suggest, the wine is BIG... Pipe tobacco, cigar, and beef jerky are prominent on the palate, with notes of ripe red fruits, fig and date.
