Little G

Winemaking Notes

This is consistently the longest hanging fruit we bring into our cellar. The vines sit 40' off the Columbia River next to a rock quarry– what a great combination! Because the vineyard is basically on the river, the fruit is insulated, allowing for the longest hang time of all the vineyards we source from in the state. Surprisingly, the end result is a balanced beauty with velvety tannins, not fat and overripe, which one would expect with such a long hang time.

Tasting Notes

Our Little g is delicate and light bodied, yet shows intricate layers of red fruits then earth-driven qualities and bramble as it opens in the glass. This wine is aged in 500L puncheons to provide a softer, more elegant Grenache. A beautiful pairing at the Thanksgiving table. A mere 190 cases were bottled from our favorite puncheons of the vintage. Drink now or cellar for 5-7 years.

"Brick red color and a strikingly Pinot Noir-like nose of strawberry, cherry and cassis, with scents of rose petals, bayberry, bright leaf tobacco, lavender and white incense... The back reveals sensations of gently pressed berries, orange peel, crème de cassis, light, toasty oak, toffee and finely ground charcoal, followed by a lingering, light, finely fruited tannin finish." -Rand Sealy
