100% Mourvèdre

A big departure for Dre this year. Kevin and I both agreed during our blind tastings that Upland Vineyards, managed and owned by Todd Newhouse, was our best expression of Mourvèdre. Up until this point, Wallula Gap Mourvèdre had consistently risen through the blending trial ranks as our favorite single vineyard Mourvèdre. So a big change in vineyard for Dre, but the same gamey, saline, powerful expression of Mourvèdre. This fruit comes from a south facing hillside, overlooking the Yakima river, smack dab in the middle of the rocky Ellensburg Formation (Ancestral Columbia River).
